My mother sold my daughter's gold earrings to pay her church offering

Wallahi I am still shaking as I type this. I came back from Kano office on Friday and my daughter Maryam was crying. Her gold earrings, the ones my late father gave her when she was born, they were gone from the box.

I asked my mother. She looked at me straight and said she took them. She said the prophet told her to give something precious for her breakthrough. That the church needed it. My father's gift. My daughter's inheritance. Gone for offering.
