My Customer Ordered iPhone 15 Pro Max, Then Sent Fake Alert. This Is What I Do Now.
Guy came to my shop for Ariaria last month. Clean boy, spoke well, said he wanted the iPhone 15 Pro Max. We agreed on ₦1,450,000. He said he was transferring. I saw the alert pop on my phone. Omo, everything looked correct.
Two hours later I check my balance. Nothing. The alert was fake. Photoshop. My guy don vanish with the phone. I sat down for that chair and just laughed. Not because it was funny. Because if I cried, my neighbors would hear and start asking questions I didn't have answers to.
I don't blame him. I blame myself for being too eager. Now I do one thing before any big sale. I confirm the money inside my app, not just the SMS. And I tell every young dealer in my line: your phone can lie to you. Your bank app cannot. Verify before you release. Wetin you dey do to protect yourself for this business?
