My father called me last week. Not to ask how I am. He wanted to know if I have seen my younger brother's school bill. I said yes. He went quiet small, then said that thing he always says. "You and your phone. You should have done something serious."

I didn't argue. I just sent the alert. Full session. He saw it before I even dropped the call. Silence for like ten seconds. Then he said "okay" and hung up. That "okay" carried plenty weight.
