Buhari Saw Osinbajo's List And Said 'Bidi, These Are All Yorubas'

Babachir Lawal has opened a fresh can of worms about the Buhari and Osinbajo years. The former SGF claimed in an interview with Symfoni TV monitored by SaharaReporters that Buhari was unhappy with Osinbajo's appointments, particularly the number of people from his church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Lawal said Osinbajo sent a memo with about 28 names for his takeoff staff, and it sat for roughly three months. When Buhari finally saw the list, he allegedly looked at it and said, "Bidi, these are all Yorubas." Lawal also claimed Osinbajo reversed some appointments Buhari approved while the president was away in hospital, bringing in his own people, mostly from his church.

The part that will get people talking is Lawal saying Buhari was scared Osinbajo would do what Bola Tinubu is doing if he became president. So the question now is, was Buhari right to be worried, or was this just a case of a man protecting his own political interests?
