Primate Ayodele says Tinubu can only win Abuja by rigging, and Nigeria's name will change

Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has dropped a heavy one: he says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can only win Abuja in 2027 through rigging, and that Nigeria's name will eventually be changed because it is spiritually contaminated. The man did not stop there. He claimed the North has already made up their mind to vote Tinubu out, and that picking Abdulazeez Yari as campaign DG cannot mend anything.

He listed Adamawa, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, Sokoto and Bauchi as problem states, and said Yobe, Gombe and Kebbi are divided. Then he said something that will make people argue: "The name Nigeria is affecting leadership of this great nation. It will eventually be changed when God opens the eyes of some leaders. The name is contaminated and has serious spiritual implications on the nation." Whether you believe prophecy or not, that name-change talk is the kind of thing that will split a room in two.

My own take? Politicians will ignore all of this until election season, then start running around. But the North deciding who rules is not new, and everybody knows it. The real question is whether 2027 will be about votes or about who can out-rig the other. Be honest, if a man of God says Abuja can only be gotten through rigging, are we supposed to laugh or start preparing?
