Saw a girl on the mainland with a full glam face and house slippers, and honestly? Respect.

Omo, I was coming from Yaba this morning, just trying to get to the studio before my client starts calling me like a debt collector. And I see this babe. Full face beat. Contour, lashes, the whole works. But she's wearing house slippers and a faded ankara wrapper. The math was not mathing at first.
Then it hit me. She's probably a makeup artist going to her shop, or she's got a shoot later and no time to do it there. Lagos girls are not okay, we are doing the absolute most and I am here for it. The dedication is unmatched.
But it got me thinking about my own life. I can't even finish a documentary I've been sitting on for 9 months, and this girl is out here building an empire one face at a time. What is my excuse?
Is it just me or does seeing other people's hustle sometimes make you feel like you're moving in slow motion?
