The fire took everything but my customers came back with wrappers

I was in my shop that Tuesday morning when I heard people shouting fire fire. My stall was at the far end of Agege Market so I no even bother rush. Na when I see black smoke coming from my side I know say e don happen.

By the time I reach there, everything gone. My bags of rice, my cartons of soap, the new stock I just collect on credit. All of am. The fire started from the generator house next to me. No insurance, no nothing. Just me standing there with my hand on my head.

I cried till my eyes dry. My husband came, he no talk much. He just hold my hand. That night I told God say I no fit start again.

But the next morning, three of my customers came to my house. One brought a wrapper, one brought garri, one brought ₦5,000. She said "Mama Blessing, we no go let you fall." I swear I didn't tell anybody. They just heard.

I started again small small. Two years later, my stall bigger than before. God use my customers to carry me. I no go ever forget.
