Obasanjo said yesterday that Tinubu's reforms have made Nigeria the poverty capital of the world. The man did not mince words. He said the policies are pushing more people into poverty, not lifting them out.

Look, I am not Obasanjo's biggest fan, but the man has a point. In Abuja here, the cost of living has doubled. A bag of rice is now a luxury. The naira is still struggling. The reforms might look good on paper, but on the ground, people are suffering.
